Matt Koch BMath, CFP, RRC
Matt started his career with IG Wealth Management after graduating from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in 2014. In his first three years, he was the recipient of the IG Pillar Award, which recognizes new consultants for exceptional growth and a consistent approach to building their practice. He was promoted to a Division Director in 2016 and to the Private Wealth Management division in 2021.
Along with his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) designation, Matt brings a high level of professionalism, integrity and respect to his practice, helping clients meet their individualized financial goals.
Matt lives in his hometown of Wellesley with his wife Alexandra and their four daughters. Together they enjoy spending time at the family cottage and playing euchre/cribbage/backgammon with friends.
Silvester Mior BBA, CFP
Sil has been loyally serving the KW community since 1987. A graduate from the business school at WLU in 1981, he has successfully earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP), RPP and CPCA designations. Sil has been a member of the Professional Advisory Council of the Financial Planning program at Conestoga College for 10 years.
A Branch Manager for IG in the KW, Cambridge and Brantford regions for many years, Sil joined the Private Wealth Management division in 2021. He has provided quality financial advice from a wealth of experience, with integrity to his profession and responsiveness to clients.
Cassandra Smyth BA
Cassandra graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in 2016. She worked as an Executive Assistant in a sculpting studio for eight years before joining Koch Mior & Associates in 2020.
Her creative background lends a fine eye for detail, problem-solving and organizational skills, and providing exceptional service to clients.
She shares her free time with her husband Alex, and together they enjoy hiking, kayaking, and cooking.
Alexandra Koch
Alexandra Koch is an Executive Assistant with Koch Mior & Associates. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University. She began her teaching career with the Waterloo Region District School Board in 2017. Between 2018 and 2024, she and her husband Matt welcomed their four daughters. During this time Alexandra supported the firm behind the scenes through client event planning, marketing, and public relations. In recent months she has expanded her on-site responsibilities, taking on daily office tasks, ensuring client needs are met promptly. In her spare time Alexandra enjoys volunteering with the local childcare center, attending her children's sporting events and spending time at the family cottage.
